Did you know that you will pay the same price for insurance whether you use an insurance agent or not? That's right...you are not saving any money by going online and buying from one of these "term machines". What you are losing by doing that is the person behind the sale - the person that will be there when you need them. You are losing the expertise and accountability that the Independent Agent Brings. Most of all, you are losing a networking partner - a friend in business who will refer YOU and YOUR products or services to someone else! When you apply online with a term machine, they will usually offer their best price. This is because they do very little fact finding as far as the true insurability of the potential client. A good Life Insurance Agent serves the client by fact finding; asking questions about the client's health and other pertinent factors. If this process is skipped, you will 9 times out of 10 be wasting your time applying with the WRONG company! Let an independent agent "shop" for you - given all the tools he or she needs to properly evaluate you as a risk.
On the subject of the economy, the local Insurance Agent is more likely to
put his or her commission dollars back into the local economy.
Conversely, the online Insurance vending machines are not putting money
back into the local economy of the consumer. These online services
that are in competition with the Independent Local Life Insurance Agent
are taking money out of the consumer's local economy and putting it into
their economy - which is usually out west somewhere!
Independent life insurance agents speak your language! I, for
one, serve the Southeastern States but concentrate mostly on North Carolina,
South Carolina (home!), and Georgia. I do not
try to do business in States other than these because I feel that these
clients need to consult with an Agent local to them. If you are not
in one of the States I am licensed in, you may contact me anyway and I
will give you the contact information of one or more of the agents in your
area. I have
friends and associates in the Life Insurance Business in every State.
