GE Long Term Care Insurance
GE Long Term Care Insurance has been
my product of choice since I first got into the insurance business.
After looking over the LTC market, I decided that GE Long Term Care
was the only LTC product that I would offer to my clients.
GE LTC is not the cheapest product out
there, but there is a good reason for that - try to bear with me and
keep in mind that you do not necessarily want to buy the cheapest
LTC product on the market.
GE Long Term Care Insurance (Genworth) covers the insured whether they
want facility care, at-home care; skilled nursing facility care, or
nursing home care.
Medicare and Medicaid will only last so long and will only cover you
under certain circumstances. Trust me, you do not want to
leave this uncovered risk up to the government! If you rely
upon Medicare and Medicaid, you will end up at the mercy of "the
system". Further, Long Term Care costs are very high - in some
States the cost of care is around $300 per day! Don't let this
deplete your family's resources - get a long term care insurance
policy as soon as possible while you still qualify medically and
while you are in your money making years.
With long term care insurance, you
are not locking in the premium. The company (all companies as
far as I know) reserves the right to increase the cost of insurance
at any given time. That means that if you buy a long term care
insurance policy right now, your price might be, say, $100/month and
later on down the line it might be $150/month. This can happen
if the product is not priced right in the first place. GE Long
Term Care Insurance has not had an increase like this in over 29
years! This means that in just about the entire time that GE
has been offering Long Term Care Insurance (GE was previously AMEX LTC) they have not gone up on an in-force client's cost for their
policy. This does not mean that their prices have never
increased; this means that if you bought a GE LTC policy today, the
price of that policy is not likely to increase as is evident in
their 29 year track record.
When you buy a long term care insurance policy, you also want to make sure that the company you are buying from will be there in the future to back up that policy/contract. I once heard that if GE were a Nation, in terms of wealth it would be the 7th largest nation in the World! Now that's a company that you can depend on.

financial security and comfort that you have worked so hard for.
